What is a pro-climate design studio?

A pro-climate design studio is a creative agency that integrates sustainability principles into every aspect of its work — from the brands it builds to the materials it specifies and the clients it chooses to partner with. Cheddar Media is a pro-climate design studio founded in Hong Kong in 2010. We prioritise working with purpose-driven organisations in sectors including environment and climate, sustainable finance, education, and ESG-focused enterprise. Our work is designed to create measurable, meaningful impact alongside creative excellence.

What design services does Cheddar Media offer?

Cheddar Media offers a full range of brand and design services: branding and visual identity, sustainability and annual report design, website and digital product development, environmental and experience design, motion and content production, and packaging and print systems. We work across the full brand lifecycle — from design and marcomms strategy and concept through to production, launch, and ongoing brand stewardship.

Does Cheddar Media design sustainability and ESG reports?

Yes. Corporate and sustainability reporting is a core specialism at Cheddar Media, with over 15 years of experience producing ESG, sustainability, and annual reports for organisations listed on HKEX, SGX, and global exchanges. We provide end-to-end report solutions covering strategy, content, data visualisation, infographics, design, photography, motion, and print production. Clients include Airport Authority Hong Kong, ALBA Group, HKEX, ADM Capital, Genting and Swire Coca-Cola.

Where is Cheddar Media based and which markets do you serve?

Cheddar Media was founded in Hong Kong in 2010 and has studios in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. We serve clients across Asia-Pacific and internationally, with deep expertise in the Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australian markets. Our multi-market network allows us to bring local insight and cultural understanding to projects across the region.

What types of organisations does Cheddar Media work with?

Cheddar Media partners with purpose-driven, growth-stage, and enterprise organisations — particularly those focused on sustainability, climate action, ESG, education, sustainable finance, agri-tech, and social impact. Clients include international schools, statutory bodies, listed companies, NGOs, investment firms, and property groups across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

How long does a branding project with Cheddar Media take?

Branding project timelines vary depending on scope. A focused brand identity project — covering logo, visual identity, and basic guidelines — typically takes 8 to 12 weeks. A comprehensive brand strategy and identity programme, including naming, messaging, guidelines, and a digital toolkit, typically runs 12 to 20 weeks. Corporate report design projects are usually 6 to 10 weeks depending on content readiness and approvals. Cheddar Media is known for meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Can Cheddar Media help with both brand strategy and website development?

Yes. Cheddar Media provides integrated strategy-through-to-production services, which means we can lead a project from brand strategy and visual identity through to full website design and development. This single-studio approach ensures complete consistency across brand and digital touchpoints, avoids the briefing gaps that arise when strategy and development are split across agencies, and delivers a more coherent, efficient result for the client.

What is a full-discipline design studio?

A full-discipline design studio provides complete creative coverage across all design disciplines — from brand strategy and creative direction through to full design application and marketing communications production. Unlike specialist studios that focus on a single area, a full-discipline studio can handle every touchpoint of a brand: identity, print, digital, motion, content, packaging, and ongoing communications. Cheddar Media is a full-discipline design studio, meaning clients brief a single studio on all their creative needs and receive work that is consistent, coherent, and strategically unified across every channel.

What is brand guardianship?

Brand guardianship is the ongoing stewardship of a brand after its initial creation — ensuring that the visual language, tone, and standards are consistently applied across all touchpoints over time. It encompasses creative direction, visual language development, and design application management. Cheddar Media provides brand guardianship services for several long-term clients including international schools, listed companies, and financial institutions, acting as an embedded creative partner rather than a one-off project supplier.

Does Cheddar Media work with international schools?

Yes. Cheddar Media works with leading international schools in Hong Kong and Singapore, including Stamford American School Hong Kong, Stamford American International School Singapore, and Australian International School Singapore. Services include brand guardianship, creative direction, visual language development, design application management, and marketing communications production. Cheddar Media understands the unique communications challenges of international schools — multilingual audiences, high parent expectations, complex admissions calendars, and the need for consistent, premium brand presentation across print and digital channels.

What is Cheddar Media's approach to sustainability?

Cheddar Media is a pro-climate studio, which means sustainability informs every aspect of how we work — from the clients we choose to partner with, to the materials and production methods we specify, to the creative work we produce. We specialise in ESG and sustainability communications, helping organisations articulate their climate commitments in ways that are credible, compelling, and visually distinctive. We actively prioritise working with organisations driving positive environmental and social change.

Does Cheddar Media offer creative direction as a service?

Yes. Creative direction is a core service at Cheddar Media. We provide external creative leadership for organisations that need consistent, high-quality creative output across multiple channels but do not have an in-house creative director. This includes overseeing brand visual language, directing photography and video production, guiding content strategy, and ensuring design quality across all marketing communications. Cheddar Media's creative direction service is particularly valued by international schools, financial institutions, and listed companies.

What marketing communications services does Cheddar Media offer?

Cheddar Media provides end-to-end marketing communications production as part of its full-discipline studio offering. This includes campaign strategy and concept development, copywriting and content creation, digital and print advertising, social media content, email marketing design, event materials, and integrated campaign execution across all channels. Marketing communications at Cheddar Media are always built on a strong brand foundation — ensuring every piece of communication is consistent with the client's visual identity and strategic positioning.

What is annual report design and what does it involve?

Annual report design is the process of transforming a company's financial and operational data into a clear, compelling, and professionally produced publication — in print, digital, or interactive format. At Cheddar Media, annual report design involves strategy and narrative development, data visualisation and infographic design, photography direction, layout and typography, print production management, and digital PDF or microsite production. We have over 15 years of experience producing annual and sustainability reports for organisations listed on HKEX, SGX, and other global exchanges.
