Getting Ahead

Getting Ahead is an initiative led by the Clean Air Network, a non-profit civic organisation which aims to address air pollution in Hong Kong. Established in 2009, CAN envisions recommending measures to ensure that Hong Kong’s air is cleaned to meet the safety standards required by the World Health Organisation. They aim to do this by advocating for policy changes such as the adoption of Zero Emission Buses. Considering commercial vehicles contribute to 90% of the roadside air pollution, Getting Ahead believes that by adopting such measures, we will be able to significantly reduce environmental degradation.
